"lobster bake"
music: Green Day - Wake Me Up When September Ends
mood: anxious shocked

orientation is over! FINALLY. sheesh. all those "mandatory" activities were about to kill me. but then again, this also means that summer has truly come to an end. the leaves are slowly falling already too, and autumn is in the air. except these days, it's more like the leftovers of the hurricane. i really dont like this 72 degree stormy weather. it's so ridiculously humid, i dont think we can even fully shut our bedroom door for fear of being locked inside.

so after Matriculation, we had this presentation thing that wasnt terribly thrilling. lunch, then went off to buy my books from Moore, which took an hour because the line went out the basement and out the door towards Moulton Union. but the important thing is that i bought all of my books for less than $300 too! something like $260, but i'm actually gonna get $30 back because of the school's policy that if i find something cheaper from a major commercial company, they'd match the price. sweet stuff. i love buying books, so that was fun for me. XD i also dropped by the bookstore at Smith Union to get some supplies. afterwards, went to Convocation, which i totally slept through cuz i was sooooo tired (i still am!). went to the lobster bake at Moulton and omg, that was a good meal. they gave each of us a whole lobster (there was steak, chicken, and eggplant available too) and we sat at our tables to crack them open. here are a couple of memorable table "settings":

the bib was totally unnoticed until most of us had finished half the lobster. hilarious because the table mat was the instruction manual for cracking open the lobster. but here's the REALLY hilarious part:

"Once trapped and cooked, the lobster is served as a delicacy. Only when cooked and served on the tables of the world's finest restaurants will this shy beast drop its guard and, with a little encouragement, finally 'come out of its shell.'"

hilarious, isnt it?! XD but yes, after a BIG meal, went to the preO slideshow, which was a disappointment because they didnt show any of our group's pix, which were submitted too! aiyah.
