September11,2005"first full week of college" music: Maroon 5 - Sunday Mornings
mood:
oh how appropriate, sunday morning and i'm listening to Maroon 5.
so i survived my first full week of college! talk about a shitload of things that happened/i had to do. started work on thursday at the Hawthorne-Longfellow Library. i work thurs-fri-sat early afternoons (1-3pm usually) at the circulation desk, so come visit me! or not. because if you have a book question for class, i most likely wont be able to help you, lol. but if you want to talk about literature, COME! XD because other than that, i'm totally useless customer service.
the foam party on friday was totally a letdown. more like totally gross. i thought they'd be spewing foam out at us, but no, it was a foam PIT.
totally disgusting because by the end of the night, you really dont know what shit was in that foam, lol. we had to sign waivers to get into the pit too, so that was a sign to stay away. in the end, my friends and i went to Smith to play pool....a pathetic game of pool, but nevertheless we finished it. ;D (dont laugh at me evan. i will get better! i will!) last night, after watching motorcycle diaries with christine, we decided to drop by the ladd house toga party, "epicuria," and again, letdown. i walked by there to drop by East first, but heard the music and stayed away, lol. plus, frat party-toga scene really isnt my thing. ended up at the pub for the club (oo! rhyme!) which was cool, but awkward(?) lol, evan knows ;P stayed up until 3 talking to my hunny and supposedly i zoned out b/c i was so tired? well, at least i didnt fall asleep on him this time.
the workload is definitely coming. i mean, there arent a lot of assignments due, but there IS a lot of studying to do. i spent yesterday afternoon in the library, (5 hours?) because i worked for 2 hours after brunch and spent 3 hours on Greek. i didnt even get to the actual assignment because i spent my time learning the language and conjugating crap. i dont think i was very productive yesterday because i look at my list today, and holy crap, i still have research to do for my korean war seminar, chinese listening hw, Latin translations, greek ASSIGNMENT, and studying for my marine bio quiz. but i have a rehearsal later tonight, so i have to practice a bit for that too. crap³. i guess i should stop the slackin and get crackin....
