"eighties danceoff! sort of."
music: Eddie Money - Take Me Home Tonight
mood: ok

eighties party last night at quinby! well...sort of. bowdoin students tend to be gung-ho about theme parties, so there was a lot of spandex and bright colors. some people looked awesome, others looked scary, lol. (too much tight spandex!) a lot of the guys tried to pull that ducky look (pretty in pink!) and lots of sunglasses in the dark, haha. it was a ton of fun dancing to eighties music! better than helmrich and howell...no offense, haha. i'm just a bit weary of "hip-hop." afterwards, went to supersnack and christine and i hung out at east hall chatting with savannah. we came back to coleman around 3 and to my surprise, everyone was in my dorm watching donnie darko eating pizza with their beers. (surprise, as in from outside, i thought everyone was asleep cuz no lights were on.) anyhow, stayed up chatting until like 5 because limewire was working! and yes, bowdoin does firewall, gawddamn. last night was definitely awesome, especially since i got to watch the graduate again in the theatre at sills.

today, a sunday, got up around 11 and ian was in our room randomly....lol. went to brunch, accidentally ditched ian but he took too long on his omelette -_-, so i went off to rehearsal at gibson, and i think i played better! went to HL to do my hw...even though i didnt accomplish as much as i wanted. at least i did all my language homework! dinner wasnt that great cuz i missed the grilled cheese and tomato at thorne for moulton, but at least i had ice cream with lots of sprinkles. came back, watched the telly with my floormates, then went to meet up with jasmine at the picnic tables behind moulton. she invited a bunch of us chinese bowdoin students to celebrate the autumn festival. the full moon was beautiful, though the clouds were a bit ominous. nevertheless, it was fantastic, just chatting with people and eating mooncake. can you believe that? jasmine brought mooncake all the way here from guangzhou. i'm so lucky to have been able to celebrate. i truly am blessed.
