mood: peachy?
So post snowstorm, i decided to take some pictures. well, these pictures are actually from the LAST snowfall a couple weeks ago, but nevertheless, a gorgeous white landscape:
outside of the library
close up of the trees outside the library
on my way back to coleman from the asian studies building on college street. in black and white, it's a classic picture.
so today, it was sunny again, the snow is melting, the weather is warming up, and as i walked out on the quad to my anthro class, i noticed this:
i have no idea who decided to spraypaint the snow, but it was really pretty trampling through it. there was actually a ring of pink/orange outside of the green, but yes, the trampling ruined it. we're a destructive bunch of kids. anyhow, i FINALLY got off my ass and took a pick of our school icerink on the quad, the one that they just hose down and freeze over whenever they can:
yes, it's pretty ghetto, but if the temperature was colder, we'd actually be able to safely skate on that thing. darn my busy schedule that prevents me from even skating the dayton arena. i hope i can do it once at least. i have yet to swim in the greason pool too. but that's because farley fields is too far for me. or rather, the swim hours suck.
someone sent me a crush can, and i'm determined to find out who or if it's some senior trying to gyp us. basically, the senior class held this fundraiser where you can send a crush can (orange soda) to someone either directly or anonymously, but $1 for the former, $2 for the latter. if however, you decide to pay that $2, the person that receives your crush can must also pay $2 to find out who sent it to them. so fuck no i didnt pay $2 to find out. i will find out myself. if not, too bad for them because at least i got a free soda and they didnt.
so my roommate norah bought a bag of those candy hearts with the ridiculous phrases on them, like "be mine" and stuff. i remember in kindergarten, it was always fun because they were simple sweet phrases like "i love you," "be mine," "kiss me" but now, there are ones that say "call me," "page me," and my favorite: "IM me." other popular ones included "dream team," "how nice," and "be my hero." i dont know where to stop! wait, one last one: "whiz kid." hope y'all are enjoying your day of pinks and reds and hearts and roses and let's not forget the best part: bountiful chocolates.
