music: Frank Sinatra - Dancing Cheek to Cheek
mood: nervous crazy

a nice, easy couple of days. yesterday, i spent most of the day indulging myself in art, doing some oil painting at home and finishing up my chinese landscape at art class. xie-yi is such a pain in the ass. at least with gong-bi, the paper is manageable. plain

today, spent the day reading a lot, sleeping a lot, and teaching my sister how to play starcraft, lol. it's hilarious how i influence my sister, haha. then i got hooked on it again, and now i'm looking for my broodwars so i can make some decent campaign maps.

holy crap, asian telemarketers are such bastards! this lady called today from SBC DSL, and i immediately went into my speech about how my chinese is bad, my parents arent home, can i take a message...and she just kept on bitching at me and actually had the gall to say "oh, you're not 18? for someone under 18, you have quite an attitude problem." stupid bitch didnt know that i'm fucking fluent in mandarin, so she should've shut her trap. and omg, i swear it's the same lady that's been calling every fucking week. damit, next time she calls, i'm just gonna say "fuck you" and hang up.

maybe it's the medication, but i'm just in a bizarre mood tonight. i wanted to go clubbing, but in the end, aside from the fact that some of my closest friends couldnt go, i ended up cancelling on some other girlfriends of mine because well, i just wasnt feeling it. so instead, i watched the telly with my sister and played my viola. it's crazy how my chords and vibratos seem to rock when i'm in the musical mood. i hope that's how i'll sound when i perform, that is, if i ever decide to perform again.

i'm nervous as heck because i'm getting my wisdom teeth removed tomorrow morning! (hence the medication.) omg, i dont want to die from the pain. i hope i dont end up with an infection afterwards!!!

pumpkin carrot cake

music: none, but watching jon stewart on tv :)
mood: ok

i'm such a terrible person. i forgot my mom's birthday on saturday, and i forgot to bake her a cake like i usually do. so i made up for it today by baking her favorite cake, carrot cake, with a pumpkin twist. i added pumpkin pie filling (libby's!) to give the cake a kick and it turned out to be pretty damn good. i'm proud to know my mother's favorite cake. proud because my father doesnt. ;P which reminds me, my dad came home today! just in time for fresh cake! XD he came back to sf from elk grove to pick up the family car. no more ugly chevrolet sedan! back to my sweet japanese car, our humble black honda civic. XD i hope that that cyclist doesnt bother us after that accident. bicyclists in sf are such terrible people to share the streets with. (sorry wolf! lol)

i found a nice shop/cafe on california and 8th ave today that sold some gorgeous lilies for only three dollars each. i think the white lilies were casablanca lilies, not sure. but they were gorgeous. i wonder if there are any flower shops in sf that have gorgeous white ruffled irises. flowers make me happy. smile

cocoa

music: Diana Fox - Running On Empty
mood: smile

after a strenuous viola lesson (my viola was being weird and i couldnt play the stamitz for some reason), i went to stonestown to meet up with josie. we went to victoria's secret to check out their semi-annual sale, and omg, we couldnt find anything. i really wanted some undies from PINK, but didnt find anything, and not much XS. wanted to buy endless love lotion, but not 4 bottles. thought about getting spirit awakened aura science lotion, but realized it was still a rip regardless of the 50% discount. SO in the end, we lounged around sf shopping centre, messed around with the exfoliating body scrubs at the body shop, and after realizing our hands smelled like a crazy mixture of scents, ended up at bath and body works to re-wash our hands. LOL we ended up trying out this cocoa body scrub and lotion, and i ended up buying them, lol. i felt that after a frustrating afternoon at victoria's secret, i might as well treat myself to something nice and nifty. i bought the cocoa body scrub and cocoa body cream. screw endless love, cocoa is so much better! XD it's such a subtle and yummy scent. hehe yup, i'm satisfied with my purchase. not to mention that it's restorative, which means it'll also prevent premature signs of aging. i think that'll come in handy when i'm stressing out at bowdoin. big grin

hilarious moment on the way to downtown sf: josie and i were on the M when some jerk pulled the emergency handle to open the back door at the Church station. so for the longest time, we couldnt move, and the bus was packed with people (packed like sticky rice because sardines can wiggle, according to this tall, shirtless guy from the gay pride parade). this lady standing next to us started saying how someone shouldve mugged that guy for pulling the emergency handle, lol, and continued with her moderate cursing. what's hilarious is that we all couldve just gotten off the train, walked upstairs to the street, and caught the J or N outside. but instead, we all sat there, impatient, pissed off, and full of complaints. we all thought the train had broken down because of the emergency handle, but apparently, all that needed to be done was to readjust the handle back into its place. so finally, the chinese train operator came to the back and was like "wtf?" and fixed the handle. gosh, what a waste of ten minutes. ;P

anyhow, big week coming up. well, sort of. i just dont want to go through july 4th with chubby bunny cheeks from the wisdom teeth removal on friday. crying

scrollbar

music: Underworld - Born Slippy (NUXX)
mood: frustrated

crap. the dhtml scrollbar doesnt work with greymatter. i've been trying to fix the problem for the last hour, but it's not working, so i'm gonna stop. forget it, this website isnt perfect, but at least it's close. crazy the auto-scrollbar does work, however, with the rest of the website.

refresh

music: Cosmic Gate - Exploration of Space
mood: accomplished

i'm done! LOTS of new changes to my website. first of all, i invite all of you to check out my artwork, which i finally fixed up. secondly, i've switched my blog back to greymatter. it was the first blogging program i used before my host server banned them. which reminds me, i've switched servers now too! read all about these site changes here.

FYI about navigation, the circles to the left make up the menu. scrolling is provided on the right by the white arrows i've drawn in.

so what have i been up to lately? well, besides slaving away for this layout, which isnt even that great to be honest, i've been reading a lot, painting, and sort of working. a lot of sitting around and sleeping, which makes up for the loss of rest from the schoolyear. sleepy i think i'm gonna spend my summer being more creative, perhaps making more layouts, launching my own set of emoticons, and possibly making other goodies for you visitors! i figure, it's about time i make my website more public-friendly. i'm also thinking of getting a new domain name. darkpoetria is getting old, and with college starting in the fall, i guess i can use this as a fresh start. so watch out! new things coming along the way! big grin
