Happy Halloween!

music: Panic! at the Disco - Boys Will Be Boys
mood: optimistic hehe

the halloween party at mac house on saturday night wasnt that bad, haha. but there were a lot of people who werent there....so the question remains, where the hell was everybody? it was pretty friggin awesome because mac house had an open bar for affiliates, which totally rocked because i've been waiting to have some good hard liquor, haha. vodka with anything baby, that's my style wink let's see, what did i go as? i claimed i was norah's counterpart because she was a flapper, so i was her gangster, haha. i borrowed lauren's fedora hat, slipped on a pair of pinstripe pants and my cute heels, and with leona's makeup help, went off in the fucking cold weather without a jacket, lol.

and to prove i wasnt dressed as a "slutty" anything for halloween:

i think just about 90% of the girls dressed as some "slutty" whatever that night....then again, halloween is just an excuse for us girls to dress like skanks and for guys to basically walk around naked, right? because that sure WAS the case at the party, haha. lots of skin showing from both sexes ;P

sunday morning was awesome because daylight savings had ended, so i gained an extra hour of much needed sleep. i actually woke up at a good hour to the sunlight streaming through the window. it felt so good to wake up yesterday morning. you have to start appreciating those rare days when the sun is actually shining in maine. today was gorgeous too...i hope this doesnt end. i feel cheated out of my new england autumn. satisfied i want to see the leaves change color and fall with the light breeze, not blown off by stormy winds. -_-

autumn foliage before it starts snowing

music: alkaline trio - time to waste
mood: just fine.

omg, it might snow tomorrow! so i figured i better load this pictures now when it's still relevant.

various pictures of autumn foliage on bowdoin campus on different days. just wanted to share some new england autumn with you all. smile

havent really had much worth blogging about these days. actually, it's more like i'm effin lazy, facebook is more interesting than greymatter, and i'm getting lazy about the layout too. i've also started on a coppermine gallery, but i'm being lazy about brushing up my php skills.

okey okey, i'll get working on the layout soon. and coppermine. before winterbreak, i swear.

music: Kelly Clarkson - Since You've Been Gone (Club Remix)
mood: stressed, but mellow.

omg, brilliant:

look at the lolly closely....

HAHAHAHA! i'm telling you! this is the best scheme yet! or rather, the most brilliant pick-up line....method?!

oh us crazy college kids...and our methods of raising HIV/AIDS awareness. ;P what the heck were you thinking? no really, what was YOUR mind thinking upon closer examination of the picture? sheesh....society these days.

p.s. if you havent figured it out by now, that's not a real lollipop...it's a condom ;D

nintendo fusion tour

music: Rick Springfield - Jesse's Girl
mood: all right smile

brace yourself for a long blog entry....and plenty of pictures ;D

friday was officially the start of fall break. a huge number of people went home, but lauren and i had other plans....our first real college roadtrip! XD well, sorta....it was a mixture of katie's and katye's (I LOVE YOU!) generosity and fung wah ;D so we left on friday with katie and stayed over at her house in sudbury, which is a little south of boston. drove through new hampshire to give diana a call, but wasnt close enough to say hello to her at dartmouth. (diana, thanksgiving, new york, LET'S GO!) anyhow, there were issues with our original plans but in the end, thanks to my 18-yr-oldness, credit card, and katie's help, lauren and i got all our stuff booked and ready to go! drove to tewksbury the next day (can you believe that such a town exists?!) to drop off our stuff at the motel 6...which seemed sketchy because i claimed i was the only adult staying overnight to save us $10, and we had to deal with a smoking double because there werent any non-smoking rooms left. then we headed off to lowell (the town, not my high school you west coast blank stares!) to the tsonga arena for the nintendo fusion tour! we hung around the town for a while and i must say, the town of lowell is very quaint. it definitely captures the charm of the classic new england town. after loitering in barnes & noble for an hour (we were hiding from the rain), we went off to meet motion city soundtrack! after meeting the band, we had to wait in line in the rain for 2 hours because our tickets and photo press passes were at will-call, omg. talk about shitty luck. the rain was NOT fun. new england rain is incredibly humid; thus, lauren and i have decided we're ready for the west coast weather again. O_O

anyhow, the concert rocked! our photo passes allowed us to take pix pretty much..AT THE STAGE. OMG. upfront LIKE NO OTHER! i was basically leaning on the stage taking pix the whole time. well, the pass allowed us for the first 3 songs of each band, but still! awesome spots! here are just some of the pix i took with lauren....

the rather charming bassist of Panic! at the Disco

the lead singer of Panic! at the Disco

Boys Night Out

the lead singer of Boys Night Out

the hot HOT guitarist of Boys Night Out

Motion City Soundtrack guitarist Joshua Cain!

lead singer Justin Pierre of Motion City Soundtrack!

last but not least, bassist Mark Hoppus of Motion City Soundtrack!

hot bassist of Starting Line! they weren't that great live though...

lead singer of Startling Line

and headlining the tour....FALL OUT BOY!

with hot HOT Pete Wentz! omg...

and last but not least at all....lauren and me happy at the concert.

the bands were amazing live, especially Panic! at the Disco. they definitely got me more interested in their music. ;D Fall Out Boy wasnt as great live, but omg, i was so close to touching Pete's new chuck taylors! O_O SO tempted....but i controlled myself. Starting Line wasnt THAT great, but they didnt totally suck....i'm just not that into them. Boys Night Out wasnt that bad either. BUT Motion City Soundtrack did and excellent job. i must say that that was a fucking awesome concert!

so afterwards, taxis werent running...they fucking hung up on us! but luckily, we met this sweet girl, katye, in the photo pit, who kindly gave us a lift back to our sketchy motel, lol. lauren and i had IHOP before crashing into our smoke-ridden beds. the next day, woke up late (i still dont know how we slept through BOTH of our alarms) but made it to the fung wah bus at south station! 4 hour ride to new york, but we got there safe and on time. watched another concert at the Continental featuring The Confessional, Roses are Red, Stutterfly, Bedlight for Blue Eyes, with Bleed the Dream headlining. dropped by CBGB and thank goodness for that because they're shutting down soon. ); it's so fucked up! how can you shut down the venue where the Ramones first played?! it should be a LANDMARK. ugh. even a trance addict like me, who doesnt listen to rock too much, knows that.

anyhow, we got back safely and chilled in boston's phat malls on monday before heading back to bowdoin early that afternoon. i must say that i miss the city more than ever now. and people are right: boston does remind me of san francisco.

ignore your worries and just chill

music: IIO ft. Nadia Ali - In the End (Ultrasun mix)
mood: absolutely stoked big grin

omg, fall break this weekend. TOTALLY STOKED because i'm going to see Fall Out Boy with lauren!!! XD we're going to the Nintendo Fusion Tour in Lowell, MA on saturday, then we're heading off to new york for another concert on sunday, and should be back on campus monday afternoon. sad part is i was planning to work this weekend and make some extra cash, but c'mon, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity! once in a lifetime because lauren has backstage press passes for fall out boy, and did i mention that Motion City Soundtrack is gonna be performing too? omg, omg....

screw other worries, i'm gonna chill. big grin

empty void

music: Motorcycle - As the Rush Comes
mood: feeling such a longing

so i wont go into detail about tonight, especially because i think it's enough for both evan and wolf to have heard me rant, lol. funny how i choose certain people to talk to. anyhow, today was rather smooth for a booked day. after brunch, i went off to work before heading off for my field trip for marine bio. we didnt do anything intensive, just went to the rocky shore on bailey island to sample different intertidal zones. lots of algae, which was absolutely frustrating to walk upon. slipped in the beginning, stupid squishy seaweed. >.< but the ocean was beautiful, and it felt wonderful catching the seabreeze. came back in time to grab some grub with my floormates, went back to my room to try to finish latin hw while lauren worked on german. then my night went by and here i am. ranting. unable to express how i actually feel right now because it's along the lines of shitty and miserable. well, miserable because there's an empty void that cant be filled, and i'm just sitting here, hoping i can get through these next three months quickly.
