President Bush decided today that our right to habeas corpus should be suspended for those whom he considers as an enemy threat to homeland security. Check it out.
what has happened to our country? have we really become so passive that we're allowing our president a despotic power that trumps our basic rights to due process of the law? or are we just too complacent with our government?

butterflies in maine
q: how many butterflies have you seen in maine?
a: i saw one today.
the green grass is withering away, the pompoms and chrysanthemums will be gone soon too. it's strange to think that back home, everything is bright and green as ever. perhaps the snowfall will change my mood here, and i will feel better about the landscape. but until then, i suppose i should embrace the brisk autumnal weather.

whenever i listen to that piece, i am brought back to that movie. and then i'm brought back to the time i watched the movie, and the time when i actually found the piece from the movie so that i may learn to play it myself.
i hate it when music is attached to a memory, even if the memory isn't necessarily a terrible one.
