Merry Christmas!
music: My Chemical Romance - All I Want For Christmas Is You
mood: just fine
Happy Christmas! I hope everyone is having a great day, despite the dreary rain.
It's funny how my family doesnt really celebrate christmas. I mean, sure, we go to Christmas mass every year, and Christmas eve, we either make family rounds visiting relatives all over san fran, or stay home, open presents together, and feed the carolers that come by every year. But this year, we really stayed away from the traditions, primarily because I wasn't home earlier to get the decorations up and organize christmas things to do. Yesterday, my parents rolled eggrolls for dinner and we had jook with that. Then my sister and I cut snowflakes, listening to Christmas carols and realizing that we dont actually remember all the verses to any of the traditional hymns. To really break my Christmas routine, Evan picked me up and took me down to Union Square to see the lights again before they take down the tree. The weather was gorgeous downtown last night, so I'm glad I caught the last of the beautiful weather before the rain.

the ringer
music: gouryella - tenshi
mood: just happy
starring Johnny Knoxville....so messed up! lol. evan had free screening passes, so brian, dereck, evan, and i went to the metreon to watch it. let me just say, that we're all going to hell for watching and enjoying the movie, haha. they're probably gonna get sued for the movie, but i'm glad we all got to see it before the nasty litigation war. ;D simply ridiculous....
the lights in yerba buena park are so pretty! pre-christmas time always makes me so happy. i also got to drop by union square for a bit to admire the tree. saks fifth avenue has their twinkly snowflakes up, and macy's has their crazy wreath windows and stars on the main entrance building. i love christmas. and i'm so grateful to be spending it here at home where everything is simply beautiful.

i'm home!
music: Nightmare of You - Thumbelina
mood: so happy!
i'm finally home! it's been way too long...especially without my evan
the flight was fine until i got to the OC. stupid delay. ironically, i had been worried about getting snowed in in portland or chicago. but turns out, here i was, delayed in the OC of all places because of the thunderstorms in san francisco. fucking pansies. you havent seen a storm yet. ;P
it's so warm in san francisco! 59 out! that's amazing! on my way to the canvas, i saw people walking around in turtlenecks and puffy jackets. fucking pansies. lol. maine has made me tougher against cold weather! wee!
admittedly, it feels so surreal to be home though. i feel that when i wake up tomorrow, i will still think i'm in my bed in my dorm at bowdoin. but it feels sooooo good to be home, and see that not everything has changed. i cant wait to go out tomorrow!
i'm home, I'M HOME! ;D

winter storm no. 2
music: Billie Ray Martin - Honey (Chicane Club Mix)
mood: anxious
freezing rain? ice pellets? OH SIHM!
been working a lot lately at the library to make some extra cash and holy moly was it snowing like crazy this morning. pretty much like last friday, but instead of 10 inches of snow....perhaps 6 inches. then right when i thought it had stopped snowing, i go out and realize that it was raining. wtf? how is there rain when the temperature outside is below freezing? okey, i guess as the rain passes through the air, temperatures can vary depending on moisture and whatnot, but still!! wtf?! so right now, it's cold outside (20 degrees higher than usual! meaning, it's 35ºF out) and it's wet and slushy. yeh, snow isnt very fun for jumping in right now. but now that the snow isnt as dry....nice packing snow....good snowball fight and snow sculptures ahead tonight! XD
i've also realized how incredibly dependent i am on facebook for birthday reminders. yesterday, i had to pause a bit to realize that it was daniel kim's birthday! yey!
on a side note:
2 more days bitches.... XD

reading period
music: nothing
mood: stressed? spiffy? myr?!?
so ian was kind enough to take michelle and me to freeport for some christmas shopping today. that was fun, haha. had my last greek class for the semester, which was quick and easy. definitely felt good to start the day at 9 instead of 8. that hour totally makes a huge difference.
anyhow, definitely didnt do anything much after freeport...except i just worked the closing shift from 12-2am and am too tired to type anything worthwhile so i think i might just go to bed and hopefully start my day productively tomorrow, i mean, today.
3 language finals, 1 paper.
6 more days.

cold and sunny
music: my roomie's spanish music
mood: worried
so while i've been raving about how excited i am about going home, i've totally neglected the miserable fact that i still have finals coming up, a couple of papers to turn in, and my grades are a reflection of my misery in maine. well, they're not THAT bad, but they're not up to par. oh sihm.

countdown: sixteen days
music: panic! at the disco - camisado
mood: mixture of excitement, anxiety, and hopefulness
driving down to MIT today for a parli debate tournament. so glad that i'm not forced to drive a minivan...hello honda hybrid! bowdoin is definitely pretty awesome with their van-certification system....very nifty here. I-95...cant be too hard right?
i've been searching for inspiration for a new layout, especially because i love winter and winter colors....the shades of blues, white....which are not christmas colors, but exude that wintry feeling nevertheless. hm....i wonder if i can get one done before leaving bowdoin....16 more days, bitches! ;D i can't wait to go home and see my city again, not to mention the plethora of people i miss, especially my sister and my evan. it's been more than three months, and for some, that's nothing. but for me, it feels like it's been forever. it's going to be one beautiful christmas break
